Perfect Persona!
As a young girl I always had a passion for singing and had taken classical music for 2 years which I thought was the best for my voice,learning the sargam & the Alankars this is what I was told by my teacher --just do the Riaz every day & i'll be fine. Little did I know that there is something called "Voice Training".
Many many years later I came in contact with this amazing woman ! MY Teacher who completely changed my concept regarding singing. It's been 9 months. We are a group of 6 in our workshop. It's incredible to see how she takes the pains to go through each one of our short comings teaching & explaining in - depth the benefits of the each technique applied. Both western & Indian techniques. I can go on for ever ! I tell you I have found a great improvement in my voice. There was a time when I could barely sing as my throat would start hurting . Dipaliji explained to me how to correctly produce tone and place my voice. Wow! what a difference .I'm indeed very fortunate to have her as my teacher – she has every thing that you look for in a good teacher, being compassionate,sincere, patient,helpful! "SHE IS A PERFECT PERSONA" of all the qualities that I mentioned.
I can say without any hesitation that if any body is looking for a singing teacher "SHE'S THE ONE" you won't regret! And yes! she's a great singer without a doubt. With what ease she can sing any song. A very versatile singer—indeed!

Epitome In Music & Voice Training!
Dipali Singh , an 'epitome' in the field of music and voice training ! She is gifted with a voice of an angel and has an indepth knowledge of concepts involved. She is very expressive, and has a very friendly, polite, and pleasing personality! Her face and smile speaks very clearly that she is 'rich' in every way that a person can be. She is really one of the sweetest persons I have come across in my 47 years. I am amazed that a person can be so down to earth, inspite of being the best at their work.
Dipali is very hard-working, confident young woman who believes in achieving goals but makes it very clear from the beginning itself that there are no short cuts to learning.
With her guidance, a student is bound to be on the right path. Each individual gets an assessment in their first class and thereafter it becomes an interesting journey for each one of them with several possibilities unfolding at every step and finding its way towards their individual, unique goal! I joined Dipali about a year ago. I was singing on karaoke tracks already . But a lot of close relatives used to wonder why I am singing when I go out of sur and taal invariably! Dipali has helped me realise that all that criticism can be used as a powerful weapon to overcome all my weaknesses. I will not say that I have become totally 'surili' in this past year but I sure am working on it at my pace which is very slow but steady. It is always upto the student's input capacity, interest, and commitment level once the 'guru' has started his/her job sincerely. I am taking my sweet time with learning from her as I absolutely enjoy my each session with her. I have been able to hear the difference in my singing for past few months.
I was also encouraged by Dipali to participate in amateur Singing Club Competitions so as to facing the audience is not a block to my growth in this field. There are tons of things that I have learnt and am still learning from her as far as being on the stage and performing goes. She has helped me with a few more things that were suppressed in my personality like writing/composing songs and my abilities to play the harmonium in such a short time and go to the extent of supporting my own song with my own music!!! That really took me by surprise and in a few days my first-ever song is going to be all ready with a lot of effort on Dipali ji's part taking my composition to a different level.
People around me have started noticing the positive changes in my singing and actually are amazed that I am not anywhere close to giving up on my dreams.

Deep Knowledge of Indian Classical Music & Very Experienced Teacher!
Dipali has taught music to my now 9 year old daughter Suhaani for over three years. When I first spoke with Dipali as a prospective music teacher, not only did she come out as a person with deep knowledge of Indian classical music but also as a very experienced teacher who knows exactly how to engage her students irrespective of their age. Since Suhaani is very shy by nature, in the beginning I was very apprehensive about whether she would benefit at all from the voice training lesson and open up in front of a stranger that Dipali was to her. But I was surprised after the first lesson when she very excitedly sang a paragraph of the song that she learnt from Dipali during the class and was even more excited to learn more!
Over the years I have observed that Dipali is a very patient and diligent teacher. She goes out of the way to customize her lessons for each of her student according to their own individual needs. It was very impressive to see that since Suhaani cannot read or speak Hindi, Dipali always writes the lyrics of the songs for her in English and also includes a small paragraph about the meaning of the song. She also allows her to bring her plush toy to class that Suhaani is very attached to so she feels comfortable during her lesson. I also appreciate that fact that she always allows me to be in the class with them whenever I have expressed the desire to do so. From time to time, she updates me of Suhaani’s progress which is now very evident in the songs that Dipali has been recording over the years for our benefit. She is always prepared, positive and pushes Suhaani to achieve her goals and reach her highest potential.She is truly invested in her students!
With her guidance and direction, my daughter has advanced her singing skills dramatically. She has a gift of understanding each of her student’s uniqueness and aptitude. Dipali not only teaches her music but also lets Suhaani experiment with it thus encouraging her personal creativity. Suhaani looks forward to her voice lesson every week. Sometimes if there is an option of choosing between a play date and her voice lesson, she always chooses the latter which shows how involved she has become in her learning of music. This could have been possible only because of the exceptional efforts that Dipali has been putting with her.
Without doubt Dipali possess a gift of a melodious voice and a passion for Indian music. But moreover she has a greater gift of knowing how to spread that passion amongst her students of different ages and abilities. Her love for music is totally infectious! Outstanding Teacher! Makes Learning Music A Lot of Fun!
I began taking vocal training classes ONLINE via SKYPE with Dipali in June, and since then I have been learning so much from her! When I started off I could not go beyond "pa" in the taar saptak and now I can go all the way up to the higher "sa" in taar saptak, that, too, in my original voice. Dipali is an outstanding teacher and a lot of fun to learn from. It's crystal clear she actually enjoys the process of teaching and helping her students succeed. She pays attention to the smallest details in the student's voice and makes the student aware of those nuances so they not only becomes a better singer but also a better listener. She makes the serious subject of learning music a lot of fun. Dipali neither crams zillions of things into one class nor does she slow things down unnecessarily--she actually tailors the class and pace to each student's progress and comfort-level, something many vocal teachers fail to do. Dipali clearly knows what she is doing; her knowledge of vocal singing is vast, and she is not hesitant to impart that knowledge with students. With each and every class the progress in a student's voice is audible. The vocal exercises and visualization techniques are fun and will make you giggle, but the truth is they help big time in improving vocal range, pitching, sustaining notes, breathing properly while singing, and most importantly erasing stress and tension in the vocal cords while singing...the list of things a student will learn is endless! I highly recommend Dipali's classes to anyone who is serious about becoming a better singer and also a better listener.

I am very blessed to have Dipali as my music trainer. I started taking voice lessons from Dipali almost a year ago and look forward to continue working with her. Great And Organized Teacher, Talented Singer, And Humble Person With a Heart of Gold
I have been singing for a while, however had never tried singing Hindi music. I decided to try something new, and found Dipali Aunty's website online and gave it a try. After the first lesson, I realized how much I could learn from Dipali Aunty. I have been taking voice lessons from her for almost a year now and I have already learned six songs. As a college student who doesn't know Hindi, Dipali Aunty as taught me to sound authentic. However, her lessons not only teach me how to be a better singer, through an array of exercises, but I also learn the fundamental mechanisms involved to understand fully how the voice works. My family and I have been extremely satisfied with Dipali Aunty's voice lessons and I look forward to them every single week!
